How to Schedule an MRI Appointment or other Imaging Procedures

 

If you are a patient:

If your doctor has already sent us a referral please call us at 818-907-7723 to book your appointment.

If you are a referring physician:

Please send a referral to our scheduling department via one of the methods below:

What happens after Precise Imaging receives the referral?

  1. Our Scheduling team will enter the referral into our scheduling software
  2. The patient is called to schedule their appointment
    1. If the patient is not available we will attempt 2 more times and leave 3 voicemails
    2. The patient will receive an SMS informing them to call Precise Imaging to schedule their appointment
  3. After 3 attempts, a notification via fax or email will be sent to the referrer informing them we could not schedule the patient

 

 

 

Password protected files

If you receive a ZIP file from Precise Imaging you will need to extract the file.  If it asks for a password and you do not know what the password would be please email us here.

How to extract a ZIP file:

Do one of the following:
  1. To unzip a single file or folder, open the zipped folder, then drag the file or folder from the zipped folder to a new location.
  2. To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Once you extract it may ask for a password.  Enter the password now.

If your computer does not have a zip extraction utility you can download WinRAR or WinZip for free.

Check Status of a Patient

 When viewing your patients there will be a column called Status.  A Status is the current status of the patient’s study.  Below is a key for a list of common statuses.
Ordered Referral has been received is pending to be scheduling
Scheduled The study has been scheduled
Confirmed Called patient 24 hours before their date of service to confirm their appointment
Showed Currently at the facility to be scanned
Arrived Currently at the facility to be scanned
No Show Did not show and did not call to cancel
Couldn’t Schedule Unable to schedule patient or get in contact with them
Canceled The study has been canceled
Verified A study reaches this status value once a technologist has reviewed the study and performed the necessary changes, signifying it is ready to be read
Read A radiologist has read the study and created a dictation
Dictated The radiologist has dictated their findings
Transcribed
Transcriptionist has transcribed the dictation for the report
Signed The final report has been signed and attached to the study and is available to view/download

Burn a CD (reports,images,documents)

You are able to burn a CD using both PowerReader & RapidResults.

NOTE:  To burn a CD  windows operating system is required for either option.

Burn a CD Using RadpidResults

  1. Insert a blank CD into your CD Burner
  2. Login to https://precise.radiustoday.com/
  3. Click on RapidResults
  4. Search for your patient
  5.  Click once on the study you want to burn a a CD for and then click o the CD icon
    • If you want to select multiple studies hold down ctrl while you click on each study you want to burn.
  6. If this is the first time burning a CD with RapidResults using this computer you will get an error about not having an app to open.  Wait a a few seconds and a small popup will be displayed under the CD icon to install App Launcher so you can burn the CD.
    • If a window pops up asking to allow the link, click Allow.
    • Install the app launcher and follow any prompts.
    • If your computer will not allow the install, please check with your IT department to see if they are preventing software from being installed or request support from Precise here.
  7. After you install the app launcher you may need to highlight the study again and click the burn CD icon from step 6
  8. A window called Media Tools will be displayed and will show you what you are about to burn to a CD.
  9. A final window will be displayed called burn options and select what options you want
    • Signed Diagnostic Reports (Final Report from the Radiologist)
    • Images (Radiology Images)
    • Viewer (Always include this or you will not be able to view the images)
    • CAD (Do not check this)
    • All diagnostic reports  (Signed and preliminary reports)
    • Documents (Documents that Precise has attached such as invoices and RX)
    • Scanned hard copy documents (included documents precise has scanned in for this study)
    • Remember these settings

Based on your credentials certain documents may not be available.


Burn a CD Using PowerReader

  1. Insert a blank CD into your CD Burner
  2. Login to https://precise.eradonline.com/
  3. Click on PowerReader
  4. Search for your patient
  5. Find the study you want to burn to a CD and click on that row once (Do not click the document icon)
  6. A window called Media Tools will be displayed and will show you what you are about to burn to a CD.
    1. A final window will be displayed called burn options and select what options you want
      • Signed Diagnostic Reports (Final Report from the Radiologist)
      • Images (Radiology Images)
      • Viewer (Always include this or you will not be able to view the images)
      • CAD (Do not check this)

How to view exam reports and patient documents

 

RapidResults (No software download required)
Compatible on Any device (Windows, Mac, mobile)
If you use Power Reader click here

    1. Login to https://precise.radiustoday.com/
    2. Click on RapidResults

    1. Click the search button at the top and find the study you need
    2. Double click on the study (Will open in a new tab)
    3. The patient’s images will be displayed
    4. At the bottom click on Reports or documents to view all related files we have attached

View Reports & Images using PowerReader

  1. Login to https://precise.eradonline.com/
  2. Click On PowerReader (If you do not have PowerReader already installed learn how here)
  3. Click on Search and find your patient
  4. Click on the document icon in the search results for the study you want to view a report or documents for.
  5. Click on reports/Documents or Patient Documents on the left hand side.
    1. You can save to PDF or print using the icon in the top right corner

How to Send a Referral or Prescription
