Precise Imaging, in collaboration with Clearpath, offers a streamlined solution for legal professionals, including law firms, record retrieval companies, and insurance carriers, to access medical records, images, and billing information electronically. This service mandates the use of the Clearpath platform, a HIPAA-compliant, web-based portal that enhances the speed and reliability of fulfilling requests, compared to traditional mail or in person methods.
To request and receive records or images, eligible parties such as attorneys and insurance carriers must first secure a HIPAA-compliant medical release or a subpoena. Then, they can submit their requests electronically via Clearpath. All types of records and images must be requested through this platform, which allows for quicker processing. Precise Imaging also provides necessary affidavits or certifications on the platform post-payment.

How to Pay
Regarding payment, Precise Imaging issues electronic invoices through Clearpath before processing requests. The fees depend on the complexity of the request, the desired turnaround time, and state laws. Payments can be made via credit card or bank transfer on the Clearpath website. It’s important to note that payments must be made through the platform, as direct payments to Precise Imaging are not accepted.
Additionally, Clearpath does not impose any extra fees on top of Precise Imaging’s charges for record and image release.
